Civil War Rosters
141st Regiment, Ohio Infantry

This was a regiment of National Guard that was raised in Gallipolis. At the time the regiment was formed, Sherman was in his campaign to capture Atlanta and General Grant was preparing for the Battle of Cold Harbor in Virginia. Since this unit was formed in Gallipolis it is very likely that most of the soldiers were from the Gallia County area.
