Myers/Elliott Golden Wedding Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Myers Observed Fifieth Wedding Anniversary Sunday, Nov. 15Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Myers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Nov. 15, 1925, at their pretty country home on the Portsmouth pike near Gallipolis. A sumptous wedding feast was enjoyed by their children, grand children, great-grand children, Mrs. Marietta Lynch, only living sister of Mrs. Myers, and J.C. Ball. The children presented their mother and father each with splendid gold wedding rings. In return their father gave each child five dollars and their mother a ten dollar gold piece. The children present were Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Myers and family, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Myers, Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Tope and family, Mr. and Mrs. I.E. Myers, Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Drummond, Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Williams and family, Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pope and family, Mr. and Mrs. O.R. Henry and family, Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Myers and family, Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Neal and family. The grandchildren present were Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Myers and great-grand-daughter Tharon, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Myers and great-grand-daughters Iona and Wanda Gale, Mr. and Mrs. Arius Cook. There were fourteen children in the family, twelve living, and all present save one son, Curtis Myers, and family of Bethesda, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Geneva Monteith of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Bessie Gaskell of Columbus, and Millard Myers of Colorado.
