Fuller/Newton Golden Wedding Anniversary A Golden Wedding The celebration of the golden wedding of Colonel William Greenleaf Fuller and Lucy Lucretia Newton Fuller was a happy event, greatly enjoyed by many friends of the venerable couple, Saturday evening at the Tuxedo Club Rooms. They were married near Marietta, in Washington County, Ohio, Nov. 4, 1850. Of three children but one survives, Alice having died in 1869 aged seventeen, and Stella in 1861 aged three months. William Burtt, born in 1869, still lives to comfort the declining years of his parents. The guests were received by Col. and Mrs. W.G. Fuller, Capt. and Mrs. W.B. Fuller, and Master Morris Fuller, there being three generations in the line. The rooms were beautifully decorated with plants and flowers. Late in the evening a delicious lunch was charmingly served. There was no formal program, the evening being spent in social conversation. It was altogether a graceful, appropriate, pleasing occasion, that was hugely enjoyed by all present. The Tribune extends its cordial congratulations to Col. and Mrs. Fuller, and wishes their last days may be their best days, and that they may survive to rejoice in the prosperity and happiness of their family even unto the third and fourth generations.
