Volume 10 Gallia County CW Soldiers

Four of the soldiers pictured on this page (William Topping, Isaac White and brothers Henry and Harrison Huntley) were with Sherman's army on his March to the Sea. The Huntleys and William Topping were actually in the same regiment. Charles Hale Bing was at the Battle of Shiloh and the Siege of Vicksburg. Isaac Irion was in the 1st Ohio Volunteer Heavy Artillery Regiment and saw duty primarily in Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia and at the Siege of Atlanta.
