Evans to Celebrate Golden Year

      GALLIPOLIS - Beatrice Eileen (Fowler) and H. Claude Evans, 23 Vine St., Gallipolis, will mark their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 30.
      They were married by the Rev. A.P. Keyser at Catlettsburg, Ky. in 1933. Both attend the First Baptist Church in Gallipolis.
      They are the parents of three children: Mrs. Farrell A. (Marlene) Houck, Mrs. James L. (Juanita) Dailey and Attorney D. Dean Evans, (daughter-in-law, Henny). They have six grandchildren and one great-grandson: Mrs. William W.(Monna) Phillips and son, William Allen, Cherie Houck, Mrs. Rob (Mandy) Goble, Jane C. Dailey, Billy C.Evans, and David C. Evans.
      Evans retired from the Williams Energy Bottled Gas Company in February, 1974.
      An open reception will be given by their children at the home of Mrs. James L. Dailey, 445 Third Ave., Gallipolis, Jan 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. The couple requests that gifts be omitted.
